Any person in physical custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, who is not currently under probation or parole, is eligible to apply for commutation. A person may apply for commutation at any time, but after an unfavorable recommendation or denial you must wait three years from the date of the denial to reapply. It is recommended to be misconduct free for at least one year prior to filing a commutation.
